A former barre instructor opens a mahjong club in Cincinnati
Cincy Mahjong Club is running its first eight-week league this summer, according to the club's website.
Cincy Mahjong Club, a teaching club in the Cincinnati area, is holding its first league this summer, according to the club's website. The eight-week session is listed as running Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8 PM, June 16 through August 4, 2026, at Fueled Collective at Rookwood Commons. The site lists the price at $250 for the eight weeks.
The club was founded by an instructor named Christi, whom the site describes as a former Pure Barre instructor now teaching mahjong full time. The club's site pitches "gorgeous setups, clear instruction," and an instructor who, in its words, "makes everyone feel like they belong at the table."
The club adds a Midwest entry to a year that has seen new teaching rooms and clubs open, with much of the earlier activity concentrated on the East Coast and in the South. OOTT is not affiliated with the club and does not sell lessons or memberships.
